We want to thank Pecha Kucha Amsterdam for inviting us to talk at their 12th edition in Amsterdam! It's fun to be forced to divide your deepest feellings into 20 chunks of 20 seconds. The crowd at the sold out hall of the Mediamatic office cheered so enthousiasticly that it warmed our hearts during that freezing winternight.

There's some pictures of the night - not of us though - on mediamatics website...

Surfing the web we stumbled on Vila Cruzeiro's very own MC Smith who works together with the Ibiss Foundation. He explains their work and dances with a bunch of kids. In the background you'll see both of our paintings we made in Vila Cruzeiro. Enjoy!

Yesterday Haas&Hahn arrived in Colombia to speak about the Favela Painting project at the 'Amor por Bogota' conference. After their presentation they will visit some of the slums in and around Bogota, to see if their project could function there as well.

We are extremely happy to welcome you to our brand new website, made by Iksi. It gives you all information on the favela painting project, the past work and future projects.

Please check out the 'O Morro' pages and learn how you can contribute and even become a part of our next monster project in Rio de Janeiro.

We are working on a forum, where we will host discussions on topics ranging from art to urbanism, social issues and politics.

Today, Haas & Hahn gave a private presentation about the 'O Morro' project to the members of the business club of the Amsterdam World Trade Center. After a video presentation, speeches by Haas&Hahn and Remko de Jong, the Chairman of the Firmeza Foundation there was a lively conversation with many interesting questions from the crowd. It contained members from the business club as well as other interested guests, including the Consul General from Brazil, the Ambassador and the Consul General from the United states and many others. And of course ice cold caipirinha's were served!

As a very friendly gesture, the director of the World Trade Center, Christiaan Huijg, handed a cheque of a 1000 euro's to Remko de Jong and thereby became an official member of the 'O Morro' project!

The friendly people at T-A-P-E recently held an exhibition in the Arnhem Museum of Modern Art, featuring many international artists. At the closing day, they held an auction and raised a 1000 euros to become a member of the 'O Morro' project! Thanks and congratulations!!!

As ambassadors of the 'Your World' foundation in Rotterdam, Haas&Hahn were asked to support the latest project called 'Change your world'. The idea was that 300 kids would get the chance to present their unique idea, get coaching and ultimately, have the chance to win 10.000 euro's to make their dream come true.

Production company CCCP Rotterdam created this really cool ad, starring 'Cheiro de Gaz' the video-installation-in-a-vw-bus, made by Haas&Hahn for the Brazil Contemporary Festival.
