Shows & Lectures

Since the start of the Favela Painting project, Haas&Hahn have held exhibitions and gave lectures on the subject in museums, schools, universities and congresses both in the Netherlands as well as abroad.

Video installations

In 2006, Haas&Hahn constructed an inflatable favela, which was used as a three dimensional screen for their first video-installation. Images shot in Rio, where combined with a brazilian audio-selection and premiered in the Boijmans van Beuningen museum in Rotterdam. Later it was shown on other occasions, like the Io Isabella film festival in Italy.

Cheiro de Gaz

Their latest work was a video-installation built into a VW combi. A reproduction of the line 75 busline to Penha. This installation premiered at the Brazil Contemporary festival in Rotterdam and has been shown at the Boijmans van Beuningen, The National Architecture Institute and the National Photo Museum.

exhibits

Pictures taken during their project, as well as paintings and collages where shown during many solo- and group-exhibits from Amsterdam to Rio de Janeiro to Shenzen!

presentations and lectures

Haas&Hahn have given lessons, presentations and lectures at several schools, universities and congresses. Subjects vary from art interventions, urbanism to social exclusion. Venues range from the World Trade Center Businessclub in Amsterdam to Congresses about urbanism in Ecuador and Colombia.
